General Motors ISUZU brand really has a problem when it comes to the design of their pickup trucks, that share similarities between their Chevrolet and GMC brothers... The problem is?? There is no design change. Well, unless you count a fancy chrome grille.

That's right folks, much research has been done to confirm this story,  the new Isuzu I-290's and I-370's are nothing more than Chevrolet Colorado's with a very chrome, grill and some more chrome accessories.

Lets look at the I-290 first.

Available only as an extended cab with a 2.9L I-4 engine, the truck has every familiar lines, down to the stitching and colors of the interior. The biggest difference being this monster grille that looks like something that would be seen in a "Nelly" Rap video, and the fact that it's ONLY available in an extended cab version, with the 2.9L I-4

Next, Lets have a look at the I-370.

As nice as it sounds, no.. The higher number, unlike full size trucks, does not mean more towing capacity or hauling capacity, it means quite literally, the size of the engine in the vehicle. The I-370 is equipped with the 3.7liter Inline 5 cylinder boasting 242 horsepower . The difference here however, is that the I-370 is available in a crew cab, mini bed model, AND an extended cab short bed model. Both with only the 3.7L I-5 available.

Many people bash Isuzu for their lack of design features and changes. But I applaud them and their parent company General Motors for recycling their designs.. After all, our favorite trucks, the 82-83 s10's, and the 94-2004 s10's only offered very little design changes, but they were popular, and still remain popular to this day.

My hat is off to General Motors, Keep up the good work.
