Ola! It appears I'm cresting the inevitable decline. My 30th birthday is a week away and i apparently have no way of slamming on the brakes and stopping the decent into senility. OK, so 30 isn't a major sign of inevitable doom, but I still feel young at heart and I don't want to become one of those creepy old guys that refuses to grow up.
Old guy creepiness aside, I want to be able to be my own person without the need for labels. Much of the stigma of getting older has to do with the stereotypes and over the last decade people have been redefining the personal of getting older. I just hope that it continues so by the time I really am at a point to be considered 'old' It won't be such a bad thing. |
