How to make a cold air intake for 92-95 CPI models.

Ok guys. First off this mod is only possible if you have an electric fan. It will not work with stock fan because it will hit the tubing as it rotates.

Items needed

  • 9 1/2 inch piece of tubing 3" diameter. stainless works great, thin wall.
  • 3 inch piece of tubing. 3 inch also
  • a quickwell tubing elbow from home depot. 3" also, comes with clamps. You have to but the 3"ID connectors off of it and leave it bare with just the 3" od.
  • K&N RE-0810 filter..about 45 bucks.

    Instructions

  • Put the 3 inch piece inside the IAT boot and clamp down using stock clamp.
  • Next put the quickwell elbow over the 3" piece and tighten down.
  • Next comes the 9"piece and clamp that one down.
  • Then you put the filter on.
  • You have to be creative and make a holding bracket to keep the filter in place other than that it is a breeze.

Good luck guys. here are the pics..
