Title:Fix for Parking Brake Cable Wear

On first Gen Blazers (and possibly others), the parking brake cable runs through the frame before entering the rear brakes. This is a high probability of failure point, because road vibration will tend to wear the jacket away. For this fix, you will need
6" of garden hose.
1 razor blade.
2 zip ties. Split the garden hose lenghthwise on only one side, so you can unroll it flat. Slide that over the cable, and through the hole in the frame. Now zip tie it back together before and after the frame. This sould add significant life to your brake cables! |
